CAPITA Plc led consortium secures Royal Navy training contract

Capita Plc (LON:CPI) has been selected as the winning bidder to provide training services to the Royal Navy and the Royal Marines.

  • The company has won the contract in a consortium which bid as Fisher Training and will lead in the transformation and modernisation of the Royal Navy’s shore-based training across 16 sites.
  • The other members of the consortium include Elbit Systems UK, Fujitsu and Raytheon UK. Also, there are many smaller British suppliers, all working together and providing their own areas of proven expertise.
  • The contract is worth around £1 billion, spread over 12 years for the company. It will also have the with opportunities to deliver additional training according to the Royal Navy’s needs.
  • The company has stated that the contract is anticipated to be profitable in its first full year in 2021, displaying company’s concentration on efficient bid and risk management processes.
